My life has always been defined by my love of art, both to enjoy and create. As a painter, I seek out as subjects those things that I also seek to surround my world with: the small, the unusual, the old and overlooked, objects of the past and present. I delight in discovering places that “were” and meeting people who are genuine. These are the subjects for my oil paintings.

As part of my process, I wander around and go exploring. I rummage through antique and second hand stores to find treasures of the past. I travel through old neighborhoods and towns to find beautiful old places. And, of course, I surround myself with my wonderful family and friends. Sometimes I work from my photographs, sometimes from life, always from the heart.

My desire is to show others the beauty that I see in these ordinary places and things, too spark memories of the past, and to rekindle old feelings of friendship and family.
